She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, a member of the Elks Club and “Chief Financial Executive” at John's Texaco, Binghamton, NY.
Teresa was born in Catawissa, PA, attended McIntyre Elementary and graduated from Catawissa High School as Valedictorian of her class. She participated in her school's choir, was co-editor of the school newspaper, secretary of her senior class and the May Queen court Maid of Honor. After High School, Teresa worked as a seamstress at the Regal Shirt Corp, Catawissa, PA. She was married on November 29, 1958, to her High School sweetheart, John Joseph Doraski.
Teresa always put her family first, a true homemaker at heart. She made sure everyone in the house was ready for the day. Cooking, cleaning and lots of laundry- she was always on the job. If there was any homework to be done, especially spelling, grandma was always there with the “Red Binder”. She loved music, always filling the house with her piano playing, singing and dancing. She enjoyed showing off her green thumb skills both inside and outside the house. She also had a love for animals. Teresa had a kind, loving heart and found the good in everybody that she met.
Special thanks to Caregivers- Shari and Jody and the Hospice staff- Penny, Brittni and Kristi.
