Vincent Patrick Schwarze Jr. (Vinnie, Rick), 76, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on September 29, 2025. He was born on August 5, 1949, in Poughkeepsie, New York, to Vincent Patrick Schwarze Sr. and Betty Schwarze. Vinnie was raised alongside his sister, Jane Coleman, on a dairy farm in New York.
Vinnie honorably served his country by enlisting in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life, Carol, with whom he shared many happy years until her untimely passing in December 1994. He later married Priscilla (Taylor) Moore, with whom he remained close even after their time together.
Vinnie enjoyed a long and successful career at Lockheed Martin, working in several states—including New York, Maryland, and Florida—before retiring. He had a passion for woodworking, traveling, visiting family, fine whisky, and delicious food. He especially appreciated ending a good meal with a hot toddy or Irish coffee.
Known for his generosity and warmth, Vinnie loved treating friends and family to meals at his favorite restaurants. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and found joy in sharing his love of woodworking—particularly vintage hand tools—with his stepdaughter, Sabrina. He also loved hearing about his step-granddaughters Amelia and Breanna—their activities, achievements, and the joy they brought to the family.
Vinnie is survived by his ex-wife, Priscilla Schwarze; his stepchildren, Sabrina Moore (DJ Erb) and Josh Moore (Kristy Moore); and his sister, Jane Coleman, and her family. He is preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Carol, and his parents, Vincent Sr. and Betty Schwarze.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11th, at 10:00 AM.
