Vincenzo Funari, 88, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
He was predeceased by his parents, Angelo and Luisa Funari, sisters, Italia Magliocca, Lina Picarazzi, niece Bruna Magliocca-Hovancik, great-nephew Bobby Monticello. He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Josephine Funari, daughters, Anna and Luisa Funari of Endicott, son and daughter-in-law Vincent and Amy Funari, his cherished grandchildren, Mirella and Carlo Funari all of Phoenix, AZ; Sister, Maria Andreassi of Italy; brother-in-law Raimondo Magliocca; very special nieces, Sandra (Tom) DeFazio, Renee’ Masciarelli, all of Endicott; several other nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by very special cousins, Marcella Trotta; Peter Trotta (Diane); Jeffrey Trotta; very special friend Kevin Vandussen (Maureen), very special neighbors Sam and Carol Salvatore.

He immigrated to Endicott, NY in 1955 (at the age of 18) from Arnara Italy, along with his father. He built a life in Endicott, NY, one defined by hard work, love, and devotion to his family. He was a retired employee of Garbade Construction.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He loved his grandchildren. His greatest joy came from spending time with them. He was known as “Papi”.
He had a passion for hunting, gardening, wine making, and car racing. Being surrounded by family and friends was his joy in life.
He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 am Thursday, December 11 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 300 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott, at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at church, Thursday, December 11, from 9:30 am until Mass time at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKi9nley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
