Virginia Graffius

Virginia E. Graffius, 93, of Vestal, passed away peacefully with her loving daughters at her side, Thursday August 21, 2014. She is predeceased by her husband, John C. Graffius; parents, John W. and Bertha Evans; two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her three daughters, Nancy V. Gage, Patricia A. (Larry) Card, Deborah G. (Jerry) Kabat; eight grandchildren, Pamela Weiss, Darren (Kim) Gage, Cynthia (Myles) Kellam, Daniel D’Angelo (Katherine Moccia), Alison (Tim) Hill, Michelle (Jason) Varner, Benjamin Kabat, Theresa Kabat; eight great-grand children, Emma Weiss, Matthew Weiss, Steven Weiss, Aidan Gage, Virginia Varner, Kaya Kellam, Elena Hill, Paisley D’Angelo (due in October); special niece, Louise Swoyer, and other nieces and nephews; extended family, Paul and Joann Card and their sons, Lucas and Connor; Corey Card and his daughter, Selena; Kelly Card. Her family was the most important part of her life.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Virginia will be buried in Cortland Rural Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
