Virginia Ulsh

Virginia Tyson Ulsh (91) of Endwell, NY passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 after a long illness. She was born in Pottstown, Pa on November 7, 1930 and grew up on a farm. She attended Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa where she met her love of her life, husband Holmes Ulsh. Virginia believed in travel and along with her trips to China and Europe, she planned trips for her entire family to California and Europe while her children were still at home. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church (Living Hope Church) and served as a deacon and elder. She also had belonged to the Monday Afternoon Club and various bridge, pinochle and garden clubs in the community. Virginia was an avid skier and a loving mother and grandmother. During their retirement she loved to travel in the RV to Alaska, Florida and of course Colorado, where they spent the winter skiing.
She was predeceased by her husband Holmes B. Ulsh, her parents Chester W. and Isabel (Fox) Tyson, her sister Esther Hetrick and brother William Tyson and in-laws James and Verna Ulsh. She is survived by her children Linda Lyons (James), Kenneth Ulsh, David Ulsh (Evelyn) and Gregory Ulsh (Kristen). Her sister Jean White also survives her along with her grandchildren Allison Lyons (Christopher Seaman), Erin Lyons (Elias Chamoun), Lindsay Walker (Nathaniel), Megan Smolenksy (Joshua), Bethany Metcalf (Hunter), Matthew Ulsh (Faith), Jeffrey Ulsh (Rachel), Lauren Ulsh, along with 12 great grandchildren, sister-in law Doris Ulsh and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Monday 1 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Monday from 12 pm until service time at 1 pm.
