William G. “Doc” Doolittle, 65, passed away peacefully at his home on September 13, 2026.

William, affectionately known by family and friends as Doc, grew up in Endicott, New York, and later made his home in Windsor, New York where he built a life centered around his family, faith, friends, and the many things he loved. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Doc was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Harris Doolittle; his father figure, Jim Contento; his sister, Jacinta Doolittle Shaffer; and his nephew, Kyle Shaffer.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle, and his son, Jim, and Jim’s girlfriend, Emily; and his three beloved grandchildren, Carson, Ellianna, and Everlee.

He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth, and Peggy; nephew Kenneth and Megan and their daughter, Olivia; nephew Christopher and Lea and their children, Justin and Alexis; and nephew Patrick.

His faith was an important part of his life. Doc regularly attended Bible study every Wednesday at Crossroads Church, where he found fellowship and community.

Doc was a true sports fan. He proudly cheered for the New York Giants during football season and was a devoted New York Yankees fan during baseball season. He loved attending live hockey games as he was a season ticket holder for the local Black Bears hockey team. He also loved the outdoors, especially deer hunting and fishing. These were more than hobbies—they were opportunities to enjoy nature, make memories, and spend time doing the things he loved.

Above all, Doc will be remembered for the place he held in the lives of his family and friends. His memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, loved ones, and the many people whose lives he touched.

He leaves behind many cherished memories and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Funeral Services for Doc will be held on Tuesday, September 22 at 12 pm at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the Allen Memorial Home from 10 am until Service time at 12 pm.
