William D. Hauptfleish

William D. Hauptfleish, of Endicott, NY, passed away October 15, 2026, at age 91,
peacefully with his loving daughter by his side holding his hand. Predeceased by his son Otto E. Hauptfleisch. He is survived by his daughter Pennie Morgan, Apalachin, NY and his son William C. Hauptfleisch, Fredericksburg VA. He is also survived by his sister Peggy Quick of Vestal, NY. and many nieces and nephews.
William was a life member of the Marine Corps League Post, Disabled American Veterans and Endicott Elks. He also was a Member of American Legion Post 1700, Endicott, NY, Fraternal Order of Eagles #2644 Aerie, Johnson City, NY, Military Vehicle Preservation Association, AARP and National Geographic Society.

A tribute to my Dad. He was a Marine. From a family of 10 children. He wanted to be the last surviving son living and he succeeded. He enjoyed telling people jokes and making them laugh. He was a very kind man with a heart of gold. Enjoyed his cash words, going to the Casino and Judge Judy. He was the most devoted Dad.
He taught me so much in life and I am so thankful. He is my hero and my heart is broken. I will truly miss him. Love you, Dad.

Per his wishes there will be no services.
