Ann Machlica, of Endwell, died in her sleep on April 23, 2013, at the home of her son Gary Machlica, in Hillsborough, New Jersey, where she had been residing since December of 2012.She was predeceased by her husband Francis J Machlica Jr., her parents, Joseph and Antonia Valenta; her sisters, Mildred Truesdell, Mary Fetcinko and Irene Kizale; herbrother, Joseph Valenta; her brothers-in-law, Robert Truesdell, Charles Fetcinko,and Louis Kizale. She is survived by her three sons, Francis J Machlica III, Greenwood Village, CO; Dennis Machlica, Denver, CO; Gary Machlica, Hillsborough, NJ; and Daughters-In-Law Kathleen Machlica, Denver, CO and Karen Machlica, Hillsborough, NJ, Grand Daughters Lauren Machlica, New York, NY, and Kayla Machlica, Hillsborough, NJ; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ann was a retired hairdresser who served the community for many years. She often volunteered and served in various capacities at St. Joseph’s Church, Endicott, where she was a parishioner, as well as the Czechoslovak Society of America, Lodge 450, Endicott, and the local German Club. She often worked behind the scenes assisting her sister Mildred on the American Civic Association’s Two Rivers Ethnic Festival and other regional events.Funeral Services will be held Monday 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church at 10 am. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Monday from 8:30 am until service time at 9:30 am.
