Charles Wesley Gould, of Endwell, passed on March 18, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Charles Wesley Gould, of Endwell, passed on March 18, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his six children Paul Gould (Shawn Berkowitz), Colleen Gould, Brian Gould (Renee), Kristin Carroll (Daniel), Timothy Gould (Jessie Cornell) and Kathleen DePersis (Michael); seven grandchildren Candi, Kaitlyn, Alyssa, Kody, Kyle, Carson and Hudson; along with many other special family members and friends. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 41 years, Maryrose Gould, his parents Frederick and Helen Gould, and siblings Paul Petrovsky and Doris Skiba. Charles lived in and served the community of Broome County through the entirety of his years. After graduating from North High School, he served in the Air Force before pursuing a passioned career in law enforcement. He was a Deputy in the Broome County Sheriff’s Department, followed by 27 years as a Trooper, instructor, Sergeant, and finally Investigator with the New York State Police. After retiring he served as Justice in the Town of Union. He was also appointed a Commissioner of the Endwell Fire District. Above all, he was a loving father, proud grandfather, and devout friend. At times he led by quiet example; other times, he was a boisterous participant, especially on the sports field. He coached youth teams in baseball, basketball, and softball. He actively participated in sports with a lively and competitive spirit. He will be greatly missed by all on the softball field, volleyball court and golf course. He will be remembered for his indulgence of family, his example and his dependability. He will be known always for his love, strength and leadership. He was the rock that his family could always turn to for support, stability and unwavering love.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Services will be held Wednesday at 10 am from the Allen Memorial Home, followed by burial in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott.
