SO sorry to learn about Chris' untimely passing...he steered NBC3 through tough sales times, a couple ownership changes, and 'invented' the name and helped create the partnership that is now CNYCentral... He and I had a years-earlier connection: while he was at UVA on a golf scholarship, he often played at a course that backed up to my in-laws' home, so we undoubtedly saw and probably greeted each other! ...taken from us much too soon

I was a special friend of Chris's while at UVa and in the years following when he was starting his career in West Virginia and me in NY. We reconnected recently and he sounded on top of the world when we spoke. People always wanted to be around him which would come as no surprise. He was so generous and fun. I will certainly miss him.
