Clarence Vernon Davis passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 24, 2017 at his home in Portland, ME. He was born December 27, 1947 in Yazoo City, MS, the son of the late Walter and Emma Louise Davis. Clarence graduated with an associate’s degree from San Jacinto College before working for Harkrider Oil Company. He was a loving father, grandfather, and caring friend who could always make others laugh. He enjoyed playing baseball, pool, and basketball. Clarence is survived by his daughter Chelsy of Cary, NC, his son, Cody (Robin) of Binghamton, NY; and his two grandchildren, Mariah and Colton; and his grand-dog Hailey.
In addition to his parents, Clarence was predeceased by his sister Edith Davis; and nephew, Jimmy Bridges.
Calling hours will be held from 12 to 2 pm, followed by a memorial service at 2 pm on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott.
