David J. Decker, 73, of Endicott, died Saturday, May 10, 2013, as a result of an automobile accident. He is survived by his wife Judith; two sons Scott and Joel; two sisters Mary (Ken) Lowe and Betty Owens; four brothers James (Betty); Daniel (Lois); Ben Decker and Tim Decker; and a number of nieces; nephews and cousins. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Endicott, a retired teacher with the Union-Endicott School District, where he was also the team statistician for the high school football and basketball teams. David was also a member of the NYS Retired Teachers Association and owner and operator of DJD Collectables. He also enjoyed history and sports.
Funeral Services will be held Friday 1 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend James Rice, Pastor of his church officiating. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Friday from 11:30 am until service time at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to First Baptist Church, 1406 Monroe Street, Endicott, NY 13760.
