David Lindsey, age 71, of Vestal entered into eternal rest on September 3, 2017, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, Regina Lindsey, his daughters, Kristen and Don Hodgdon and their children Jared and Sarah; Andria and Terry Kintner and their children Zachary, Makayla, and Samantha; Jacqueline and Jamie Kelly and their children Elizabeth and Owen; and his son Alexander Lindsey. He is also survived by his brother, Gary (his best friend) and Marilyn Lindsey; his sisters-in-law, Suzanne and Greg Wolf; Anita and Randy Ott; Marie Askew; and his brother-in-law, Anthony and Michele Vojtisek. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Kathryn Lindsey. In addition to those above, Dave was surrounded and loved by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, life-long family friends, kind and generous neighbors, and all of his buddies especially Howard, Jack, John, and Paul. Dave was a member of the Army National Guard and during his life enjoyed a successful business career. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Endicott for over fifty years. Dave was an organ donor recipient. We would like to give a special thank you to that donor for his generous gift. His “Gift of Life” gave our family the opportunity for an additional seven years with this wonderful man, years that we spent on vacations, having family dinners, attending grandkid sporting events and just taking each and every chance to laugh with him and show him our love. His loss will leave our family with a hole in our hearts and lives.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11 am at St. Joseph Church, 207 Hayes Avenue, Endicott. In lieu of flowers we would like to request that donations be made to the Center for Donation & Transplant (Memo: Binghamton Group), 218 Great Oaks Blvd. Albany, NY 12203.
