David Meyermann

David William Meyermann, 73, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2023, at home in Owego, NY with his wife, Gabriela Meyermann, at his side.
David was born in Waverly, NY and grew up on the family farm in Owego. He honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
David is survived by his wife Gabriela, his three much loved children with former wife June Meyermann: Austin Meyermann (Lucy Bash), Lacey Roach (Jared), and Hayley Meyermann; his two sisters; Joyce Ingersoll (Ron) and Mildred Jameson (Nelson), and his wonderful grandchildren; Lily, Ella, Sawyer, Alice, Indie ,and Avery. David was preceded in death by his parents, Helmuth and Edith Meyermann, and his sister Anita Zelle (Robert).
David Meyermann was a master carpenter and craftsman. He was patient, kind and loving. He had a natural gift with animals and loved the outdoors. Perhaps he will be best remembered for his wit, humor and moxie. He spent over 20 years working all around the world, making friends everywhere as language was never a barrier for David. His humor and good nature endeared him to many.
David was an adherent disciple of the Orthodox Christian faith and was well loved by his fellow parishioners at St. Maximus Orthodox Church.
Memorial services, open to friends and family, will begin at 6:30pm on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at St. Maximus Orthodox Church, 4447 Gaskill Rd, Owego, NY 13827.
Funeral services, open to friends and family, will begin at 10:30am on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at St. Maximus Orthodox Church, 4447 Gaskill Rd, Owego, NY 13827.
