Dennis M. Dranchak, 70, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on October 2nd, 2017, after many years of declining health. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Donna Montgomery Dranchak, son Derek, and daughter Devon Nealy (Jeremy), three granddaughters Lucy, Elise and Maggie who were dearly loved by their “Dido”, mother in law Lucille Montgomery, and special cousins Audrey Pharo and Jessica Joslin. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Helen Dranchak, father in law Edward Montgomery, and many aunts, uncles and dear friends. He graduated from Johnson City High School and SUNY Brockport, and did graduate work at Binghamton University. Dennis worked for the New York State department of labor standards, and at the time of his retirement he was the supervisor of the Binghamton office which was composed of thirteen counties. He served as secretary, associate leader and leader of PEF 281. Some of his interests included, blues music, college football, “playing the numbers”, and his distinctive style of Hawaiian shirts and various hats. Dennis is fondly remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his love of family.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 10 am at Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main St., Endicott Thursday evening from 5-7 pm.
