Diane Ziemba

Our beloved mother, Diane M. Ziemba, 61 of Endicott, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 23, 2022.  She was predeceased by her parents Ronald N. Pickens and Carrie E. Pickens.  She is survived by her three daughters Maranda Skinner, Carrie Palmieri (Jerad Barry) and Jessica Politi, her grandsons John, Ant, Dan and Mikey Palmieri, her granddaughter Emma Grace Politi, her sisters and brothers, Cheryl (Allen) Jenks, Laurie Crocker, Ronald Pickens Jr., Karen (Kenn) Hooker, William Pickens Sr., Christy Osterhout, several Aunts and Uncles, nieces and nephews, as well as many very special cousins and friends.

Diane was a dedicated and hard-working CNA at Ideal Senior Living Center, employed with UHS for the past 38 years.  She held such a special place in her heart for all her residents and truly loved caring for them.  She will be dearly missed by her co-workers, especially those on the night shift of Violet and Lily Courts.

The most important thing to Diane was family.  Her children and grandchildren were literally her whole life, especially her grandchildren.  She treasured every moment spent with them, whether it was going camping, swimming with her grandbabies, going to Darien Lake (her fearless leadership always ensured everyone rode in the front car), or taking beach vacations where she loved walking the shore at sunrise looking for seashells.  Anything and everything done as a family was her most cherished past time.

Diane was a true of pillar of strength.  Her children and her grandchildren will work hard every day to continue to make her proud and to carry on her legacy for the rest of their lives.

Visitation will be held Friday from 2 pm until service time at 4 pm at the Allen Memorial Home 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be at Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Vestal.
