We want to express our sympathy for Mr Schappert's passing to his family. My wife Rebecca and I were visitors from his church (Holy Family) to give Ed communion on various occasions since late summer 2023. We knew Ed somewhat from being involved in the music ministry. He liked to talk about his family and was proud of them all. He was a pleasure to talk to. He especially like to mention that Stu's Place was a nice place to have a meal and drink. God Bless Ed and his family!

My thoughts and prayers are with the Schappert family at this time. What a great photo of your Dad; same smile he always had whenever I encountered him in West Endicott many, many years ago. A legendary voice to go with a legendary personality…Heaven will be a better place with him there. God bless, and RIP Mr. Schappert.

Ed was a really good guy. First met him in the B.C. Pops Chorus some 40+ years ago. His voice was legendary. Later on, I enjoyed playing ice hockey with his sons. Ed was the true definition of a gentleman. Sharp dresser, friendly demeanor, always smiling and someone you looked up to. He lived a good, long life. Prayers for the family. Well done, good and faithful servant. The heavenly choir has gained one heckuva tenor!!!
