Eleanor W. Sniffen, 92, Endwell, passed away at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City Sunday, March 31, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Reverend Kenneth F. Sniffen. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth D. and SaNga Sniffen, Kuwait, and Mark and Lorraine Sniffen, Venice, Florida; four grandchildren, Mark, Matthew, Amy and Andrew; three great- grandchildren, Tyler, Keyette-lei and Xavier; one brother, Morris S. Weeden, Lake Forest, Illinois; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Eleanor was a member of First Baptist Church of Endicott and a member of the Bible study group at Good Shepherd, Endwell. She was a graduate of Syracuse University and a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She received her Master’s degree from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary. She was a member of the AAUW. Eleanor was a native of Syracuse, NY. She cherished her active role as a Minister’s wife. Funeral services will be held Friday 12 pm at First Baptist Church of Endicott, 1406 Monroe Street, Endicott, with the Reverend James Rice, Pastor of her church officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Syracuse. The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church Friday from 10:30 am until service time at 12 pm.
