Elsa E. Roden, 94, of Endwell NY, died on Wednesday June 6, 2018 suddenly at home. Elsa was predeceased by her husband Will J. Roden (Sr), in 1988 after being married for 43 years, by her parents Anna and Ralph Garey, second husband Robert Miller, daughter Donna Klensk, and great granddaughter Shawna Roden. She is survived by her children Will J. (Linda) Roden, Jr, and Garey (Bari) Roden. Grandchildren Tom Klensk, Michael (Becky) Roden, Joslyn (Jason) Garrow and Kylee Roden. Great grandchildren Emma and Michael Roden, Alex, Zachary, and Tanner Garrow. Elsa graduated from Myers High in Wilkes Barre, Pa. and from BCC. She volunteered as a Scout leader, 10 years at Wilson Hospital, the Eastern Star, the Order of the Amaranth, Daughters of the Nile, and Daughters of the Revolution. Elsa was a devoted wife, mother, Nana, and loved her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday 2 pm at Park Terrace Community United Methodist Church, 30 Glann Road, Apalachin. Burial will be in Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Park Terrace Church on Monday from 12 pm until service time at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in her name to Park Terrace Community United Methodist Church or to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607, donorrelations@shrinenet.org, or to a charity of your choice.
