Barbara,Emil & Family We are so sorry for your loss. I will always remember Emil as a child at St. Joe's. So very sorry for his wife Theresa and sons. He has a beautiful family in you all. Your love and support has carried him through this world and on to the next with our Lord. May your memories bring you comfort at this difficult time. God bless you all.

Thoughts and Prayers to Emil and his family. Emil really was what my son needed in a coach way back in 2001 and 2002 (fall baseball). He didn't do anything "special" per say, it was just "Emil being Emil", and that in itself was something very special. Thank you Emil. The Hess family. God Bless.

Only knew Emil for a year or so, but he left a lasting impression on me. Very charismatic and thoughtful person. Wish peace to his wife and children. Gone too soon

I have many fond memories of Emil from our years together at St. Joes and U.E. We had fun times revolving around CYO and High School basketball games. I was always proud to have him as my cousin because he was such a great person. He had a smile and a kind word for everyone. It was clear from the outpouring of support at the fundraiser that Emil continued to be respected and admired by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincerely, Mo
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I am very sadenned to read about Emil! I had not seen him since high school (30 years) until last year when we were in the same cubicle at Broome Oncology getting our chemo treatment. We looked at each other and said at the same time, "I know you". We had such a nice talk reminiscing about growing up in Endicott, etc. I was not feeling well enough to go to the benefit that was held for him, but he has always been on my mind. I am so sorry that he could not win his hard battle with cancer.......something I hate so much! Remember all the wonderful memories you have of this sweet person!! Sincerely,

A dedicated friend all the way back to our early school years at St. Joseph's, Emil was always there with a smile and a kind word. Although we had a fierce battle going on as to who had the biggest afro hair do (lol) we remained friends throughout our days at UEHS until going our separate ways off to college and life. I will always remember Emil for his competitive spirit whether on the St. Joes playground or during a UEHS basketball game, as well as his friendly demeanor to everyone he knew or was just meeting. Gone way to soon, but our childhood friendship will forever have a special place in my heart and memory. My Sincere Condolences to the wonderful Seliga Family. You are all in the entire Smith Family's thoughts and prayers.
