Gloria Latessa, Endicott, after a short illness passed away on October 5, 2013. She is predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Margaret Gross of Milwaukee, WI; and is survived by her husband of 51 wonderful years, Matthew; her loving children Alycia (Jay) Harris, Endicott; Alfred (Paula) Latessa, Johnson City and Maurice (Susan) Latessa, Syracuse, NY; six grandchildren Jacob; Joshua; Ellie; John; Anthony and Rose; sister in law Josephine (Frank) Petrilli; an aunt Elly Gross, Syracuse, NY; and Rosalee and Sanford Kleinberg and Lila Hirsch, Harrisburg, PA and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, friends and acquaintances, including special friends Olga Albuja, Nancy Alferano, Marie Bates, Maude Guilfoyle, Dottie Kovacs, Toni Roberto, Linda Segal, Linda Soliwoda and Olga White. Gloria was a wonderful and loving wife and mother. She enjoyed opera, beautiful cards and corresponding with family and friends. Gloria loved to entertain and along with her husband, hosted many get togethers at home. She was a member of Temple Concord Sisterhood and past president of the local chapter of Brandeis University National Women’s Committee. The family wishes to express their thanks to the warm and professional staff at United Health Services/Wilson Hospital.
A Memorial Service, celebrating Gloria’s life, will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 3:00 pm and the family will receive friends at 2:00 pm at Temple Concord, 9 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the JNF Tree Fund are suggested at Temple Concord, 9 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, NY 13905.
