Harry Charles Edwin Nuss, 88 of Endwell passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 13, 2014. He is predeceased by his parents, Lucy and Charles Nuss, his wife, Gladys Y. Nuss and his sister Marjorie Heimbach. He is survived by his daughters Debbie and Will Kimbell of Midlothian, TX, Cathy and Don DeCicco of Denver, CO and Tammy and Jim Kocak of Binghamton, NY He is also survived by his only son William H. Nuss of Waverly, NY. He is also survived by his two grandsons, Justin Kocak of Pittsburgh, PA and Nicholas Kocak of Binghamton, NY. Harry served in the US Army Marine Corps, graduated from Lehigh University and retired from IBM Owego.Harry’s journey started in Allentown, PA and his life’s journey took him from Pennsylvania, to Hawaii while serving in the Army. There he met his future wife Gladys and they settled in California while he attended UCLA. After his father Charles passed away, Gladys and Harrymoved to Allentown, PA to help care for his mother Lucy while he finished his Bachelor’s degree at Lehigh University. Gladys and Harry then moved to Endicott, NY to pursue his employment at IBM Owego, as an Electrical Engineer. Harry’s passions were his woodworking, which he so loved and spent his retirement enjoying his passion. Anyone associated with Harry was gifted with a memento of his woodworking capabilities. These mementos will be cherished forever.
Funeral Services will be provided by the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, NY on Friday May 16th. Calling hours will be from 10 am – 12 pm at the Vestal United Methodist Church, 328 Main Street, Vestal. Funeral and burial services will be immediately following.
