I am so sorry to see this about Jim and so sad that I didn’t know this sooner. We were his neighbors down the street, and he would always stop and talk with us when he was walking Tank. He was such a warm, friendly presence in the neighborhood. I was getting worried that our paths hadn’t crossed lately and we hadn’t seen him out walking. I’m so sorry for your loss. Prayers for him and his family.

We are so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. Our friendship with Jim started as far back as the Highway Fruit Market in Vestal. He was our oldest daughter Erika’s godfather and in and out of our lives for the past 50 or so years. At one point, Jim lived across the street from us in Vestal. We have so many wonderful memories of Jim with many of his beloved dogs that were his faithful companions over the years. Brandy, the Irish Setter was very special to us too. His faith was strong as we would frequently see him at OLS as he stayed active in his service with the church. He was a very kind man, who always found time for others despite his own struggles. We will miss reminiscing with him about the old Champion Speedway motorcycle races in Owego, and reliving all of our various antics, travels, and just good times when we all were together laughing and getting into mischief! We loved Jim and will miss him. God bless his family and friends and Jim- Rest In Peace. Love, Mary & Eric
