I've been gone from the area for over forty years now, but among my fondest memories are those of the Tynan boys running with the Murray boys. Over the years, through the woods and streets of the old neighborhood, in and out of all sorts of sports and occasional mischief, One constant was big Jim Murray, whose call and whistle could be heard throughout the entire development as dinner waited or darkness fell. Always there with a big paw to shake, keeping an eye on the small pack of trouble we sometimes became. The Murray house was like our second home, as I'm sure it was for many after my time. He raised a big, happy brood, and even as a teenager, unaware of many things, it was clear to me that he adored his wife and kids. Some people grace the world by their presence in it. Your dad was one of those.
