I am sorry to hear of Ed's death. I worked for and with Ed for many years at IBM. He was a real mentor to me. The obit talked of his guiding hand to the family. What a great description. That was how he treated his employees and talked to any he had contact with. I enjoyed his humor as well, especially some of the stories he told of his large family. When he was on assignment in Germany, I was chosen to replace him and I felt honored. Barb and I visited he and Joan and eventually bought the Mercedes he had while there. We enjoyed the short time together as couples during the overlap period. He will surely be missed.
