Joseph W. Thornton II, 48, of Smithville Flats, NY, went to be with his Lord and was reunited with his mother, Monday, October 21, 2013 after a lengthy illness. He is predeceased by his mother, Betty and grandparents, John and Mary Thornton. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Debra; father, Joseph, Sr.; sister, Jocelyn; brother, Sean and his sons, Maddox and Hunter. Joe was owner of Precision Construction. His passions were motorcycles, snowmobiles and Corvettes. He had a fondness for American History, especially the Civil War. His most enjoyable times were spent with family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Friday at 1 pm. from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with Reverend Jim Murphy, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Johnson City officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Friday from 11 am until time of service at 1 pm. Expressions of sympathy in Joe’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
