Karen M. Crooks, 68, of Johnson City, New York, passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2023. A longtime resident of Endicott, NY, Karen spent many years working at BAE Systems and after went back to school to become a licensed massage therapist. Family was everything to her and she was happiest when surrounded by her siblings, kids, and grandkids. Karen will be missed by all who knew her.
Karen is predeceased by her husband, John Crooks, and her mother, Jean Matolka. She is survived by her daughters Lindsay (Jagunich) and Cori of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; their spouses Andrew Jagunich and Sam Reehl; her grandchildren Nathan and Rosalie Jagunich; father William Matolka of Vestal, NY; sister Maryann “Mimi” Matolka of Endicott, NY; brothers William “Bill” (Patricia) Matolka of Niskayuna, NY and David (Dominick Canarini) Matolka of Johnson City, NY; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Thursday from 4-6 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Allen Memorial Home, Friday at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Karen’s memory to the American Heart Association.
