On Sunday, July 2, 2023, Leonard Prymak, 86, passed away at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was born on May 16, 1937 in Poland of Ukrainian descent. He came to the United States with his family in 1950 to live in New York City. He graduated from Stuyvesant High School, City College of New York, and earned a Master’s degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University. He worked at IBM for his entire professional career, first at the Federal Systems Division in Owego, NY, and then in Endicott, NY. He retired with 31 years of service.
He is survived by his wife Laila; children: Julia, Karen (Bradley), and Andrew; grandchildren: Brock, Addison, and Amber; his brother Peter (Brenda); sisters-in-law Guna Schwerin (Ron) and Nancy Prymak Pratt (Charles, dec.); cousin Rostislaw “Lou” Prymak (Judith) and many nieces, nephews, and their children. He is predeceased by his parents Eliash and Juliana; his brother Rostislaw Prymak; his sister Anna Lutarewych; and a nephew Joshua Prymak.
Funeral Services will be held 11 am, Thursday, July 6th, at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. burial will be in St. Validimir’s Russian Orthodox Christian Cemetery, Jackson, NJ. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Thursday, the 6th from 10 am until service time at 11 am. Those wishing to do so may donate to their favorite charity in his memory.
