Margaret Mee

Margaret Scoular Mee of Vestal, New York, 87, passed away on September 30th at home with her two Sons by her side.
Margaret was predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters (Scotland) and also by her loving Husband, George A. Mee, in August 1998.
Margaret is survived by two loving Sons, Christopher A. Mee and his Wife, Julia; and Aron S. Mee and his Wife, Mila; and three grandchildren, Mariah Slobe (Jacob), MacKinzie Mee, and Thor Correa-Mee.
Margaret is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and many long-time friends including two of her dearest, Carol Faigle and Jon Olsen.
Margaret and her husband George immigrated to the United States from England and Scotland in 1961 when George, a Diesel Engineer, came to work for his brother-in-law at Mallery Lumber Corp. in Hancock, New York. Margaret and George were long time residents of Hancock, New York and later Starlight, PA. Sometime after George’s death, Margaret began spending much of her time enjoying her life in the Vestal, NY area and eventually made her residence there.
Margaret remained a long time parishioner of the Christ Episcopal Church of Deposit, NY and over many years was a member of the Doberman Pinscher Club of America. Margaret had a love for all animals, but in particular dogs, especially Dobermans.
Many, many thanks to Team Margaret, a lovely group of in-home caregivers who not only cared for Margaret in her final years, but also became her friends and companions.
The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, NY Saturday October 9th from 9 am to 11 am. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
