Maria Roma

Maria (Fiori) Roma, 95, of Endicott, NY, passed away, at home, surrounded by her loving family, on May 9, 2023.
Maria was born in Ceccano, Italy on March 29, 1928. She married Angelo Roma on April 26, 1952. Courageously, in 1971, she immigrated with her husband and three children to Endicott. She was a devoted member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic church and was a proud retiree of Endicott Johnson Shoe Factory. Her home on Odell Ave was a northside espresso cafe where family and friends benefitted from Marietta’s culinary skills and enjoyed her homemade pastas, breads, struffoli, and ciamballone.
Maria is predeceased by her loving husband, with whom she shared 70 blessed years of marriage, Angelo Roma. She is survived by her children: Arduina Ricci, Maria (Angelo) Pirri, and Renato (Dena) Roma, grandchildren: Lisa (Joseph) DeVincentis, Matthew (Julie) Ricci, Anna (Gabriel) Osterhout, Adriana (Brandon) Crutchman, Erik Roma, and great-grandchildren: Antonio and Isabella DeVincentis, Evan Ricci, and Lorenzo Osterhout, sister-in-law Sylvia Roma, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Loreto and Maria Fiori, siblings Giovanni Battista Fiori, Antonio Fiori, Angelina Incitti, Ida Recine, Nannina Fiori, brother-in-law Italo Roma, son-in-law Mario Ricci, and many other special family and friends.
The family would like to thank the Lourdes Hospice nurses for their compassionate care.
We will miss you and hold you in our hearts until we can reunite at God’s heavenly table.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 11 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at church Monday from 10 am until Mass time at 11 am.
