Marian Mohney, 95, of Endicott, went to be with her Lord, from her daughter’s residence Monday, April 5, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband John C. Mohney, Sr.; parents Thomas and Julia Smith and brothers Robert and Donald Smith. She is survived by a daughter and son in law Reta and Aldo Bernardo, Johnson City; a son and daughter in law John C., Jr. and Julian (Post) Mohney; two grandchildren, Holly Mohney, Danbury, CT and Kimberly Mohney, San Diego, CA; three step grandchildren, Donald and Nancy Bernardo; Joanne and Clark Burr and Adele and William Boyle; six step great grandchildren, Donald and Kate Bernardo; Charles and Joy Burr; Adele and Jamie League; William Boyle, Jr.; Ryan and Laci Boyle and Michael Boyle; six step great great grandchildren, Lucas and Victor Bernardo; Maresa and Charlie Burr and Jacob and Brianna League; a brother Col. Harold Smith, San Bernardino, CA; also many nieces; nephews; cousins and close friends. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott and their Altar and Rosary Society. Marian was a graduate of St. Patrick’s Academy, Binghamton and retired from Arch Furniture Store, after 25 years of service. She was also a member of the Union Business Association and enjoyed many activities, especially reading, playing cards, crossword puzzles and the annual Mahoney Family Reunion. Funeral Services will be held Friday 9:30 am, from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Augustine’s Cemetery, Silver Lake, PA. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Thursday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Marian’s memory may be made to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 West Main Street, Endicott, NY 13760 or Lourdes Hospice Program, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850.
