Marie Caforio-Guccia

Marie Caforio-Guccia, 81, of Endicott passed away after an extended illness on Christmas day. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mary Caforio, father of her children Rudolph Dinga and her stepdaughter Vicki Guccia-Adamek. She is survived by her loving caring husband of 19 years Andrew Guccia, her son and daughter-in-law Randolph (Cindy) Dinga, daughter and son-in-law Mary Pabst (William) DenOuden, grandchildren Suzanna, Randolph Jr., Carl (Caitlin) Dinga, Sheena (Justin) Comarsh, and Catie (Michael) Runion. Her brother and sister-in-law Nicholas (Adalene) Caforio,  sister and brother-in-law  Carol Ann (Louis) Kubisa. Stepson Bart (Francene) Guccia, grandchildren Sarah, Andrea, Lindsey Guccia, and Jennifer (Chris) Mayer, and several great grandchildren. Marie graduated in 1953 from Union Endicott High School, in May 1967 she moved to San Jose, California with her family. She worked at IBM and Advanced Micro Devices as a Secretary, she owned a convenience store Caforio Liquors, and was a real estate agent. In 1996 she moved back to Endicott to help take care of her father, she remained very active until a few years ago. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Padua Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Absolut Skilled Nursing facility for the wonderful care they gave Marie during her years at the residence.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 1 pm at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at church Friday from 12 pm until Mass time at 1 pm.
