Mark Paul Hanafin of Endicott, NY passed away peacefully on October 31, 2018 at Mercy House of the Southern Tier. Born on June 27, 1960 in Endicott, Mark proudly graduated from UEHS in 1978. He later graduated from BCC and SUNY Utica. Predeceased by his grandparents Paul and Katherine Hanafin and Anthony and Caroline Battaglini as well as his father Paul J. Hanafin, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Hanafin; wife Sara Hanafin; son Joseph Morgan and wife Malecia; ex-wife Sharon Hanafin; daughter, Nicole Morgan; brother, Larry Hanafin and wife, Colleen; sister, Leslie Hanafin and partner, William Rodriguez; and nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Mark raced moto-cross for “Hanafin’s Honda”, the business owned by his beloved “Grampa”, Paul J. Hanafin, Sr. Later in life he enjoyed fishing, golfing, snowmobiling and watching football, especially his beloved Buffalo Bills. Mark loved to be surrounded by his family and many friends. Mark proudly founded Hanafin Marine in 1989. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday 7 pm at St. Anthony of Padua Church 300 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at church Tuesday from 5 pm until Mass time at 7 pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Mark Hanafin’s name to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
