Matthew T. Luhrs, 32, of Endwell, passed away surrounded by his wife and parents on August 10, 2018. Matthew was predeceased by his grandparents, Robert and Diane Squier and William and Florence Luhrs. He is survived by his loving wife, Teri Luhrs, his four sons Andrew, Braeden, Nathaniel and Graham, his faithful fur baby and protector Zohie, parents, George and Pamela (Squier) Luhrs, brother, Christopher (Allison), Astoria, OR., special in-law’s Catherine, David and Nicholas Barvinchak, and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins, Mother in law, several brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews. Matthew was a three sport athlete and graduate of OFA, BCC and SUNY Cortland. He enjoyed golf and going to the movies. For 15 years, Matthew was an employee of the Price Chopper family, where he loved all aspects of his job. He contributed to many local stores, most recently Binghamton and Owego. Above all, Matthew most treasured time spent with family, especially his four sons who were truly his everything. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Broome Oncology, and the nurses and staff at UHS Wilson NT2 for their care and compassion.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 10 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
