Michael J. Fitzgerald , 90. Uncle Mike left us peacefully on October 25, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Kathleen; three brothers Richard, Maurice and Frank. He is survived by his sister Anne Herman and family, John (Runa), Tom (Debbie), Carl (Jessica); sister-in-law Pat Fitzgerald, daughter Barb Lanza (John) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mike grew up in Friendsville, PA before moving to Endicott where he worked and retired from IBM. Mike loved sitting on his front porch, gardening, golfing, his Ideal Bowling Leagues and “Grand” times at the casinos with Patty. He loved watching all different sports especially the Yankees! Mike also had a passion for fine dining and enjoying a Manhattan at Kampai. The family would like to extend a Thank you to all who came to visit, his wonderful neighbors and for the care he received at Mercy House. If you were lucky enough to receive a card from Uncle Mike, it was always signed “God Bless” Uncle Mike. We love you Uncle Mike and God Bless.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 10:30 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 West Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Friendsville, PA. The family will receive friends at church Friday from 9:30 am until Mass time at 10:30 am. Those who wish may make expressions of sympathy in Mike’s memory to Mercy House. 212 North McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
