Michael C. Karl, 75, of Endicott, NY passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 9, 2023. Michael is survived by daughter Callista Sherrill and grandchildren Mason and Ryan Sherrill, whom he adored. He is also survived by sisters Joan (Peter) Gannon, Chester, VA, Marilyn (Robert) Pittman, Denver, PA as well as brothers Richard Karl, Newtown Square, PA and Thomas Karl, Newtown Square, PA. Michael is also survived by long-time friend Michelle Bidwell and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Michael was a 1966 graduate of Union Endicott High School and attended Florida State University where he was a member of the golf team. He also graduated from St. John Fisher University.
Michael was a devout Catholic and member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in Endicott, NY. He was a very loving father and grandfather and a friend to all who met him. Michael will be remembered as a spiritual and compassionate individual with a friendly demeanor and great smile. Michael was also devoted to his beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog Abby. He was a great salesman and spent many years with Pacemaker Pipe and Steel from where he recently retired. In his earlier years Michael was an Assistant Golf Professional at En-Joie Golf Club, Endicott, NY, Neville Resort, Ellenville, NY and Otesaga Country Club, Cooperstown, NY. Many happy times were spent at En-Joie Golf Club, Endicott, NY, where he was a long time member. Michael will be sorely missed by family and friends.
Michael was predeceased by his father Mike Karl and mother Mary Karl.
Visitation Services will be held Friday, March 17, 5-7pm, at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, NY. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 18 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, 701 W. Main Street, Endicott, NY starting at 10am (visitation) until mass start time at 11am, followed by internment at Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY.
