Murray “Mutt” Solomon, 84, of Endicott and Monticello, NY, passed away Thursday January 15, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was pre deceased by the love of his life his wife Yaeko in 2010, his parents, two brothers “Whitey” and Jake Solomon, a sister Pauline Furchak and two nephews Edward Furchak Jr. and Scott Solomon. He is survived by his loving and caring niece Franci Solomon-Kirtack (Paul), and Carol Furchak and family, a sister in law Helen Bates Solomon Fero (Daniel), as well as many friends. Murray was veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, serving as Sargent 1st Class with the US Army, retiring after 22 years of service. He also was a retired manager from Coach USA. He was a graduate of Monticello High School Class of ’48, and was a member of the Monticello Fire Department for 65 years.
The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott Sunday afternoon from 2-4 pm. Memorial Services will be held in Monticello at a later date.
