Narciso “Jay” Perez, Jr., 53, transitioned from this life on Wednesday November 20, 2019. He was predeceased by his father Narciso Perez. Jay is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Ada Perez; children, Kaitlin Perez, Isaiah (Kaitlyn) Robinson, Matthew Perez and Cooper; siblings, Wanda (Gary) Forte, Marie (Mike) Dominik and Rosa, Frances, and Melanie; Mother, Maria Diaz; Mother-in-law, Denise (Willie) Jackson; Father in-law, Clifford (Barbara) Robinson; Brother-in-law, Alexander (Lawanda) Robinson; close friends, Caranell (Nykole) Parks and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jay was well loved by many friends, student athletes, fellow sports officials and church family.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday November 26, 2019 from 3-6 PM at the Allen Memorial Home 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. A “Celebration of Life” Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 30, 2019 at 12 PM at the Faith Temple Community Church located at 722 Standish Street, (Harper Street entrance) Elmira, NY 14901. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until Service time at 12 PM. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Jay’s memory can be made to Ernie Davis Community Center, 750 Baldwin Street, Elmira, NY.

Ada and Family , I am the State of Connecticut UIC for USA softball a number of years ago Jay came to Stratford to do a 12 U eastern National . He made such an influence on me I got in my car on Saturday morning . What a great celebration of Jay's life and how much he did in his time here ! One of my best friends on the Elmira Basketball board. Enjoyed working with him. Had some great laughs. I'm so very sorry for your loss, Jay was such a fantastic, hardworking, happy guy all the time. He was one of the first few people what helped me get through my first year at work. He always had a huge smile on his face, and could always make you laugh no matter what your mood was. He would always lend a hand no to help out anyone, and would always stay positive. he was such a genuine person, and that quality in a person is hard to come by. I'm very sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace. His laughter, smile, and positive energy shall live on forever.

Jay was an AWESOME person and sports official. His personality was great and his smile brightened the room where he was. He will be greatly missed. He was a true friend and brother in Christ.
