Robert E. Morgan, 81, of Apalachin, went to be with his Lord Thursday, March 5, 2015. He was predeceased by his parents Elmer and Catherine Morgan. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Gertrude M. Morgan, Apalachin; his children, Rob and Karen Morgan, Cortland, Brian and Brenda Morgan, Endwell, Timothy and Stacey Morgan, Candor, Karen Morgan, Endicott and Christopher and Stephanie Morgan, Raleigh, NC; 14 grandchildren; his favorite sister, Frances Prunier, Elmira; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member and Communicant at St. Ambrose Church, Endicott. Robert was a retired Verizon employee retiring after 42 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, an avid hockey fan and was a season ticket holder of Binghamton hockey for over 30 years.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ambrose Church, Endicott at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Tuesday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Robert’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 401 Hayes Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
