Ronald “Don” R. Aton, Sr. passed away Saturday, October 3^rd surrounded by his loving family. Don was predeceased by his parents John and Margaret, his brothers Al, William, Robert and Roger, his sister Caroline and his beloved poodles Samantha and Charlie. He is survived by his special, loving, longtime friend Kazuyo “Kay” Guogas. Don is also survived by his children Ronald R. Aton, Jr. (Michele), Donna J. Aton (Edward Spencer) and Patrick Aton as well as his sister Irene Haskell. Don leaves behind his granddaughters Crystal (Bob) Burge, Angel M. Aton, Katie (Joe) Nabywaniec and his grandson Joseph Ronald (Kristy) Aton. Don will be remembered fondly by his eleven great-grandchildren Harmoni, Reece, Mason, Jocelin and Preston Burge; Wyatt, Weston and Vivienna Nabywaniec; and Hannah, Emma and Maverick Aton. Don leaves behind many loving friends, nieces and nephews and his beloved furry companion Charlie 2. Don served as a member of the United States Air Force. He was the owner of Don Aton Paving, Inc., serving the area for over 40 years. The family would like to thank Lourdes Hospice for the wonderful care and support they provided so that Don could remain at home. A very special thank you goes to Kay for the love and wonderful memories she gave to Don through their years together.

The family will receive friends at Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott from 4-7 pm, Thursday, October 8^th. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 9^th at 10 am with the Dr. Reverend Robert E. Burge, Jr. presiding, burial with full military honors to follow. In lieu of flowers the family asks that any contributions be made to Silver Lake Volunteer Fire Company, P.O.
