Ronald D. Tillotson, 85, of Endicott, NY died at his residence Tuesday, July 19, 2016. He is predeceased by a son James and a sister Barbara Northrup. He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 “long wonderful years”, Diana S. Tillotson, Endicott; sons and daughters in law John (Dorn), Vestal, Michael (Anne), Endwell and Scott (Donna), Endicott; step-daughter Kim Dean, North Carolina; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and thee great great grandchildren; brothers in law, Carl Northrup, Endicott, and William (Debbie) Smith; sisters in law Patricia (Dan) Andrews, Gail (Michael) Angell and Tina (Kirk) Honour; longtime friends David and Eileen Wolfe; many nieces and nephews. Ron was a longtime businessman in the Union District of Endicott as owner of Tillotson Service for over 30 years retiring in 1985. He was a lifetime member of the Endicott Lions Club with 58 years of service, a member of the Endicott Elk’s Club and the Union District Historical Society. He was a retired Light Commissioner for the Village of Endicott. A dedicated fisherman, he always looked forward to his yearly trips with his sons to the Chateaugay River.
Funeral Services will be held Friday 1 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Friday from 10 am until service time at 1 pm.
