Sam Marcone, 82, of Endicott passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Antonetta Marcone, his brother and sister-law Joseph and Grace Marzocca, and his nephew C. Sam Marcone, 82, of Endicott passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Antonetta Marcone, his brother and sister-law Joseph and Grace Marzocca, and his nephew C. Ted Little, Jr. He is survived by his nephew Peter Marzocca, two nieces Ann Marie Little, and Maria and her husband Bob McClendon; two great nieces Krista and her husband Neil Pecha, and Ashley McClendon, and a great nephew Jamey MeClendon; one great great niece, Eva and four great great nephews Andrew, Michael, John Paul, and Matthew Jude Pecha; also several cousins. Sam served in the US Army and was a retired employee of IBM and a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed socializing at the Wayne Street Senior Center, the Endicott Boys Club, and the monthly breakfasts or lunches with the Tarricone Cousins. The family wishes to thank Dr. Yousuf and the nurses and staff of the Intensive Care Unit and the Cardiac Care Unit for their compassionate care and concern. He was a quiet and gentle man who will be missed by all who knew him.Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Monday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
