Sandra “Sandi” Ciacelli

Sandra Lee Ergott Ciacelli, Endicott, New York. May 26, 1955 – January 18, 2023. We lost our beautiful light, Sandi, on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, due to post-surgical complications.
Sandi was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Letty (Sylvis) Ergott.
She is survived, and will be greatly missed by, Husband, Mark Ciacelli; Son, Jason Morean and his wife, Nickolle (Ludwig) Morean; Brother, Les Ergott and his wife, Kathy (Stover) Ergott; Sister, Kristen (Ergott) Kalmbach and her husband, Doug Kalmbach; Sister, Heidi (Ergott) Musingo and her husband, Thomas (‘Moose’) Musingo; Four Grandchildren, London, Carter, Mazzy, and Violet, as well as Amysue Valenta (Mother to London and Mazzy).
Sandi was caring, fun loving, honest and open, and her vibrant personality will be missed by all who knew her.
She was born in Centre County, Pa where she lived on the Penn State campus as a young child and eventually moved with her family to Tioga Terrace in Apalachin, NY. She attended Vestal Central High School where she remained active until her passing.
Sandi spent many years working as an aide in the Johnson City School district, both full-time and, later on, as a part-time substitute. She was loved by students and colleagues alike. And she loved helping her students, many of whom kept in touch with her well into their adult lives.
Sandi’s desire to help originated in her deeply held Christian faith. Sandi was steadfast in her faith and it was a driving force throughout her life.
She will be greatly missed by her family, including a large extended family, and her friends. She was very often considered the glue that held people together, family and friends, alike.
A celebration of Sandi’s life will be announced at a future date.
