Steve Ricciardi, 91, of Endicott, NY, passed away May 30, 2013 after an extended illness. He was born December 25, 1921 in Endicott, NY, the son of Cosmo and Leonarda Ricciardi. Steve Ricciardi, 91, of Endicott, NY, passed away May 30, 2013 after an extended illness. He was born December 25, 1921 in Endicott, NY, the son of Cosmo and Leonarda Ricciardi. He was predeceased by his wifeof fifty-four years, Anne Ricciardi. He was also predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in-law Matthew and FlorenceRicciardi,Andrew and CatherineRicciardi, AngeloRicciardi,Genesio “Gondo” Ricciardiand John Ricciardi; his sisters and brothers-in-law Antoinette “Janet” Kintner, Anne and Jack Faust, Marguerite “Margie” and Lowell Smith and his nephew Matthew Ricciardi, Jr. He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Deborah Ricciardi, and Lawrence Ricciardi; granddaughter Victoria Ricciardi; sister-in-law Ella Ricciardi; and many nephews and nieces including Don (Linda) Kintner, Gary (Adrienne) Ricciardi and Kathy (Joseph) Gallagher. After graduating high school, he joined the Army Air Force and became a bombardier during WW II. After the war, he moved to Washington D.C. and worked as an agent for the FBI. In 1951 he moved back to Endicott to take care of his father, met Anne and was married four years later. He opened an accounting office in West Endicott where he practiced as a CPA for about fifty years. During some of that time he was an accounting teacher at Broome Technical Community College.He and his wife spent a lot of time with their boys involved with the Grenadiers Jr. Drum and Bugle Corps where he served as business manager. He was known for taking care of family and friends and was a caregiver to his wife for a number of years before she passed. Mike, Larry and the rest of the family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Transitional Care Unit at General Hospital in Binghamton for helping us through this special time.Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 11:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with Pastor David Cook officiating. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Monday from 2-4 and evening 7-9 pm.
