Thomas Gavigan “Timmy” went to join the party upstairs on January 4, 2015, lovingly embraced by our parents, Tom and Jan Gavigan, sister, Sharon Duffy, brother, Michael, along with many family and friends who have been waiting to bring him home. He is survived by his sister, Susie (Gary) Lemon and her family, Ryan, Kristin (Aza), Corey, Reilly and Owen; brother-in-law, Ernie Duffy and his family, Sean, Shannon, and Isaac; his Godfather, Tommy Mack and several cousins. A lifelong resident of Endwell, Tim mastered the sport of skiing and enjoyed knocking that little white ball around the golf course. He was a volunteer fireman, worked for I.B.M. and then the Russell family, where he spread his silent humor and stories between work and the Galley. We have missed Tim’s kind gentle soul the last ten years when he moved to Arizona, where he worked for Dell and American Traffic Solutions. He was happy in sunny Arizona and although he didn’t miss our weather he did miss his family and friends. We would like to thank everyone who supported Tim through cards, letters and even some visits since his injury occurred.
Memorial Services will be held Monday at 5 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Monday 3 pm until service time at 5 pm. Donations will be accepted in Tim’s name at the American Civic Association, 131 Front Street, Binghamton, New York 13905 where our grandfather, Michael Gavigan was one of the founders. So funny Tim how your Cowboys were losing and then suddenly when you crossed over, came from behind and won! Possibly you using your new found powers to give them some extra help. Happy you got your win. Keep the party going up there until we meet again.
