Buzz (William) Collingwood, of Endicott, died after a long battle with cancer on October 28, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Maureen; his father, William; and his mother, Irene (Billie). He is survived by his three children, Colleen (Mark) Musa, Brock (Diane) Collingwood, and Travis (Renee) Collingwood. He had six grandchildren, Justin (Laura) Musa, Nicole (Nicholas) Humphrey, Brandon (Tara) Musa, Ashley Collingwood, Collin (River) Musa, and Kiefer Collingwood. He had nine great-grandchildren, Brienna, Natalie, Gavin, Dean, Blaze, Betheny, Julie, Paige, and Ava. He is also survived by his brother, Reed; sister, Susan; and cousins, Chris Keeler and Melanie Leazer; and his brother from a different mother, Joe. Buzz was born and raised in Endicott. He moved to Chicago with his dad during his teenage years but was madly in love with Maureen who was still in Endicott. Once he graduated from high school he hit the road back to Endicott to elope with Maureen in his ’46 Ford. Buzz owned and operated the Chevron station at the corner of North McKinley and Watson Boulevard from the 60’s until he retired in 2005. He raced stock cars during the 50’s and 60’s in the #77 at Shangri-La Speedway and Five Mile Point Speedway. In ’67 he sold his stock cars and bought a farm, raised cattle, horses and pigs while still running his service garage. He bought a cottage at Forest Lake, PA where he enjoyed many crazy parties with the neighbors (you know who you are). Buzz met Joe in the 70’s and those two began a lifelong friendship and enjoyed countless adventures and infamous deeds to make us all laugh. He lived a full, busy, fun life. We loved him and will never forget him.
