Sending you all my love and sharing your sadness. Along with my own father, Tom Kissel, Bill was the most influential role model in my life. He was always there teaching me about everything, and creating opportunities for me that were lessons that have lasted a lifetime. HIs public service served as an example that keeps me volunteering in my community, just like he did. He taught me how to drive a tractor at Ziller's, build and fix things at Briarcliff Hardware, and serve customers and work with others. I know many of you here know what I am talking about as I recognize so many names posting here. I remember all of you. From the hardware store, neighborhood barbeques, and Lake George vacations. Bill seemed to be at the center of it all! We moved, and I ended up far away in California, lost touch, regrettably. However, all those memories remain as the best days of my life, spent with many of you...thanks to Bill Goetz!

Billy was one of my heroes. He taught me so much; how to spitshine shoes, how to assemble mowers and grilles, I can go on and on.We will be in Florida for Jerry Small's 80th birthday, or you would see my ugly face at the service. Unfortunately, we depart on the 7th.Bill will be missed - please reach out to me if you need anything.God bless the Goetz family.
Mr. Goetz was such a pillar in my life, although he probably didn’t know it. I grew up down the street from him and played with Jody every day after school for years. I will always remember Mr. Goetz as a strong, grounded, kind, and humble man who loved his family and his work. It would be my hope for every family that they grow up with a father, neighbor, and good to the core human being like Mr. Goetz. May he Rest In Peace.
With love ~ Jillian Anthony Bichsel
