William “Bill” Perkins

William Perkins, 75, of Union Center, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 2, 2016. He was born on December 23, 1940 to the late John and Minnette Perkins. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Vivian Perkins; three children David Perkins, Wendy (Ken) Myers and Abby (Bill ) Woodward; two step children Christopher (Tammie) Fowler and Melissa Reynolds; six grandchildren Courtney, Tyla, Samantha, Derick, Ashley and Ciara; and one great grandchild Wyatt; three brothers James (Marcia) Perkins, Thomas (Marsha) Perkins and Charles (Deborah) Perkins and two sisters Eileen (Bruce) Baessler and Sally (Luis) Lima and several nieces and nephews. Bill graduated from the Montrose Area School in 1959 and served 2 years in the Navy. He was a 4-H and Boy Scout leader in PA. He worked at GAF, Ozalid, Canrad and Endicott Machine and Tool. After retirement, he worked at the Huron campus. Bill was a member of the Union Center United Methodist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher, men’s cell group leader, Boy Scouts and on many committees. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, hunting, fishing and traveling. Memorial Service will be held at the Union Center United Methodist Church Saturday 11 am with Pastor David McKinney officiating. Please wear colorful clothing in celebration of Bill’s life. Visitation will precede the service from 9 am until service time at 11 am. Interment will be at Franklin Hill Cemetery, Hallstead, PA.
