Anthony J. “Tony” Antalek, 88, of Endicott, passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, Tuesday, November 20, 2012. He was predeceased by his wife Louise in 2005. He is survived by a daughter and son in law Toni and Ed Vavra, Williamsport, PA; two sons and a daughter in law Fran and Louann and Steve Antalek, all of Endicott; his grandchildren Paul; Mindy (Keith); Jacob (Teresa) and Casey; two great grandchildren Nicholas and Aiden; a brother William Antalek, Endicott; also several nieces; nephews and cousins. He was a veteran of W.W. II, serving in the US Army Air Corps and was retired from Union Presbyterian Church, Endicott. Tony will always be remembered as a hardworking caring man, who took pride in his stonework, loved to fish and plant his flowers. He will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at Willow Point Nursing Home, 1st floor, for making his last days comfortable.Services will be held Friday 2 pm at Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. At Anthony’s request there will be no calling hours.
