Constantine (Dino) Gianakouros, 89, of Vestal, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Anastasia and a sister Arianthe Pavlis. He is survived by his wife Mary, a daughter Anne (John) Schiro, Cornwall, NY; two sons Fred (Beth), Roanoke, VA and Harry (Katy), Binghamton; six grandchildren; one great granddaughter and several nieces; nephews and cousins. He was an active member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Vestal and past president of its parish council. Dino also participated in many community organizations.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 10 am from the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, Vestal. Burial will be in Saint Nektarios Greek Orthodox Monastery, Roscoe, NY. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Tuesday from 4-7 pm, with a Trisagion Service at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 4121 O’Hara Drive, Vestal, NY 13850 or Saint Nektarios Greek Orthodox Monastery, 100 Anawanda Lake Road, Roscoe, NY 12776.
